WALK EVERY STREET - CHELMSFORD

THE MISSION

I started this project in 2021, but due to circumstances (Covid/Long Covid) I had to stop, and when I was okay to continue, I had just lost heart in the idea and so never picked up from where I left off. 

But I am back, and again I am as inspired to do this as I was when I first decided upon the idea. And that idea is that I shall WALK EVERY STREET in the borough of CHELMSFORD!

To date I have walked 131 streets out of a total of 2107 streets (625.95m), of which I have 6.22% completed (*stats from Citystrides.com). That means I've got a hell of a long way to go and a lot of streets still to walk!

Maybe a better target for me to follow on the Citystrides.com website, is that out of 626 people who have walked at least 1 street in Chelmsford (my competition), I am in 43rd position. This statistic I can improve upon quicker than the street count!

[*NOTE: There are approximately 1,500 to 2,000 distinct, named streets across the diverse neighborhoods and rural parishes of the Chelmsford borough. The exact number fluctuates continuously as local developers build new roads and Chelmsford City Council approves new naming schemes.

Because the borough covers a massive 135 square miles—spanning not just the central city, but also large surrounding villages like Danbury, Great Baddow, and Writtle—there isn't one perfectly static, published count.]
